Ingrid Ruthig is a writer, editor, visual artist, designer and architect.
Her poetry, fiction, and nonfiction have appeared across Canada and internationally in such publications as The Malahat Review, Descant, The Fiddlehead, The New Quarterly, Books in Canada, CNQ (Canadian Notes & Queries), Magma (UK), Letting Go (Black Moss Press, 2005), and numerous others, as well as in translation. Her work won a UK Petra Kenney Poetry Award and the Eden Mills Writers’ Festival literary competition. From 2000–2007 she co-edited, designed, and co-published the Canadian literary journal LICHEN Arts & Letters Preview.
Recent projects include a new chapbook, as well as the book Richard Outram: Essays on His Works (forthcoming from Guernica Editions, Toronto), and a full-length collection of her poems. She continues to work on an extensive text fragment & visual art cycle – a segment of which first exhibited in 2008 – based on an in-progress manuscript.
